About the Department
Dedicated instructors prepare students for their chosen major of aviation in the academic fields of English, Mathematics, Physics, IT and Technical Report Writing. Our disciplinary policy is our biggest calling card as parents and sponsors have grown to appreciate how their students’ study habits have improved. QAC stresses discipline among its students from the very first level. The Foundation Program fosters independent learning, thus better preparing students for their future careers in aviation.
Who is the Foundation Programme for ?
Students who do not qualify for direct entrance into a major must enter the Foundations Program.
How will I be taught ?
Students are placed in small groups of 8 - 16 to allow our dedicated instructors to take care of each student and equip them with the required knowledge, skills and study habits. The course is 11 weeks. A typical day consists of 2 English lessons and 1 Mathematics and / or Science lessons depending on the level of each student.
How will I be assessed ?
The learning is assessed through regular progress test, a mid-course and a final exam. The English Program at Technical II culminates in an external IELTS exam.
What are the opportunities for international exposure ?
Students have the opportunity to mix with teachers and students from around the world, thus expanding their international awareness.
After graduation,what job I will obtain ?
Students enter their field of study on satisfactory completion of the Foundation Program.
By having a strong foundation in English language, mathematics and science students gain advantage in the international work-force.
