Naturally, courses can be tailored to suit to
needs of each individual; however, a full ATPL course could
entail:
- 12 month English course including basic Maths & Physics.
- 6 month Technical English Course.
- 10 weeks Ground school covers fourteen JAA subjects –
Airframe/Systems/Powerplant – Instrumentation –
Mass & Balance – Performance – Flight Planning
– Human Performance – Meteorology – General
Navigation – Radio Navigation – Operational
Procedures – Principles of Flight(A) – VFR Communication
– IFR Communication – Air Law – Principles
of Flight.
- Approximately 100 hours flying on a single
engine.
- Approximately 30 hours flying on a twin engine.
- 55 hours simulator time.
- Approximately 1000 hours of ground school achieved in
the year – all subjects followed by CAA examinations.
